Michelle Seipel

Michelle Seipel is a native of Appleton, Wisconsin. She recently completed her master’s degree in voice performance at The Peabody Conservatory with Dr. Steven Rainbolt.  Her undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee earned her a double major in voice performance and mathematics.  Between degrees, she maintained an active performance career while working full-time as an actuary at the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network.

Michelle’s credits include Cendrillon and Hansel and Gretel with Milwaukee Opera Theatre, Lucia di Lammermoor and The Tender Land with Skylight Opera, a variety of outreach performances with Florentine Opera, as well as solo recitals in connection with the Milwaukee Civic Music Association and the Milwaukee Music Teachers’ Association.  Among the operatic roles Michelle has performed, two of her favorites have been Sister Constance in Dialogues of the Carmelites and Mme. Goldentrill in The Impresario.  Equally active on the musical theatre stage, Michelle has performed such roles as Mrs. Nordstrom in A Little Night Music, Marion Paroo in The Music Man, and Amalia Balash in She Loves Me.   Michelle is an active church musician, and she is a swing dance enthusiast, always looking for a chance to lindy hop!
